Upon my last old dollar I saw that graveyard light

Floating slow it's strolling through the graveyard

Scared me so my legs just froze together

Well I came home one evening so weary and so tired
I took a shortcut yonder out past the old graveyard
The night was dark and rainy the setting was just right
And sure enough by golly I saw that graveyard light

My feet would not get going no matter how I tried
I prayed the Lord up yonder to give me wings to fly
My prayers were never answered I did not get in flight
I just stood there dumbfounded a looking at the light
