Subconscious - Red Light District Lyrics

Lyrics Red Light District - Subconscious

The streets are uninviting, but not so much as the faces.
How they remind me of you.
These hotel walls are paper thin underneath the jet engines. (reminders passing overhead).
In the dark i make my way to the dresser drawer.
In this notebook i'm writing out a page for you.
And as the ink bleeds into paper it hits me,
But i don't have the strength to collapse.
The noise outside is welcome company for restless eyes.
Cutting open to stain the white with scarlet words.
If only for a moment, could i escape? it's that same feeling,
Face down on concrete in headlights,
Saying your prayers to open your eyes to red lights.
