They give so much to our country
All their blood and sweat and tears
So many sons and daughters serve
Despite their parents greatest fears
That their children won't come home
again
And it's true so many's lost
Fighting for a foreign land
So many's paid the cost

Soldiers of war
They all fight for freedoms song
And they give their lives
To defend all people who are wronged

They all stand proudly
As they march straight into hell
And so many soldiers fell
Those soldiers of war

Through Vietnam, Korea,
World War One and World War Two
These brave young men and women
fought
For freedom to stand true
While other countries mock the USA
and call her names
Still we fight on and we protect
Other countries just the same

For their child lost to the war
